<p>It seems to me many are misinformed about how far away Chicago actually is. The link below provides a map of different neighborhoods and pretty good desciption about each of them:</p>

<p>Evanston shares the boarder with area #1 and NU is about 2 miles north of the boarderline. Area 32 is the downtown, which is about 12 miles south of Evanston. This is where it takes 45-60 mins to get to by subway. But there are plenty of closer areas worth going to. Pretty much all of the nicest neighborhoods in Chicago are north of downtown.</p>
