<p>you don’t need precal stuff to do calulus until you get to the trig stuff in calculus. so, until then, go ahead.</p>

<p>If possible take Calc with precalc at the same time. Then you’ll be able to use what you learned in precalc immediately on calc thus it will let you remember the concepts better.</p>
<p>Precalc varies from school to school. If you want to take calculus next year, your best bet is to learn trig over the summer.</p>
