Leasing a car, but taking delivery in another state?

<p>DS has decided to lease a car, ideally he’d like to do the shopping and leg work where we live but would like to take delivery in the city where he will be working (750 miles away). </p>

<p>Does anyone know if this is possible, or if it creates a dis-incentive to the dealers in either city to facilitate a lease sale across state lines? Also, would he pay taxes based on his home address (here) or where he takes delivery?</p>

<p>Taxes are based on the home address. He’ll have to pay when he registers it. The car we bought from our local dealer was located at another dealer about 300 miles away. We had our choice of picking it up there or having someone drive it up here. </p>

<p>I know another guy from the DC area who bought his 4WD car but picked it up in Denver for a ski trip.</p>
