<p>Could I potentially take a leave of absence from Stanford after my Freshman year, attend a different university for two years, and then graduate from Stanford? Assume the reason has nothing to with cost.</p>
<p>My D just finished her freshman year at Stanford. After one year at Stanford, most students wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! I’m guessing that you’ll need to get most of your credits AT Stanford in order to obtain a Stanford diploma.</p>
<p>I highly doubt that. Essentially no school allows students to enroll elsewhere, unless it’s cross-registering stuff. What you are talking about is transferring, but even that doesn’t work like that.</p>
<p>I believe there’s something like exchange program in Stanford, but then it’s probably for a year or a semester. That’s your best bet for going away from Stanford then getting a S diploma. :P</p>
<p>My roommate at Stanford did something similar to what you are describing. He only spent 1 year at the other university instead of 2 as you describe.</p>
