<p>How much does legacy really help at Dartmouth? Is it more than just a slight edge if all things were equal to begin with or can it really push someone over the hump?</p>
<p>My view, completely unadulterated by fact, is that, all things being equal, it may push you over the top. Unless your family has given a lot of money to D and/or has great influence than money can, in fact, buy you a whole lot of love.</p>
