Legacy at JHU- does it help?

D#2 has JHU as her #1 choice (she’s a jr). It’s my alma mater (B.A. and master’s) and my husband has a grad degree from it. Will it help her being a legacy? Anyone know any sort of firm stats on this? She wants to apply ED (we visited last month). Folks on CC with more recent JHU admissions experience, I’d like to hear from you, with thanks in advance.
Her stats: WGPA is over 4.5; took AP Chem & US History this yr; will take AP English Comp, AP European History, maybe AP Italian next year (music scheduling makes things a little tough); member National Italian Honor Society and Tri-M (honor music society); nominated for national honors math society;
will take ACT June; Honors Wind Ensemble since sophomore year (freshman not eligible); pit orchestra for musical freshman and soph years; Model UN since jr year and just elected president of it; submissions editor of literary magazine freshman and soph yrs; works 2 jobs about 12 hrs/wk; teaches (volunteer position) music in township summer enrichment program; participant past 2 summers in OSPAC Jazz Workshop (by audition); volunteers in synagogue every Saturday (about 2 hrs).

From one parent to another with no inside knowledge (just keep that in mind):

Her stats look good anyway without the legacy issue. Nevertheless,
I would think it would depend on how involved you and your husband have been (and how much cash you have donated over the years).

It will also depend if you are not looking for financial help for her to attend - therefore, if she applies ED and doesn’t need the financial help, she should have a greater chance of being admitted over applying RD. This seems to be the case at most colleges/universities.

GPA, by the way, seems to be usually calculated as unweighted - it’s too confusing for the admissions people otherwise - due to every high school doing that differently. They can tell by the transcript if the classes were more challenging than others.
