legacy grad school

In a recent NYT article, Princeton stated that 40% of legacy applicants were admitted. Does the definition that Princeton used include children of graduate school alums?

The term ‘legacy’ applies to children of those who received doctoral degrees from Princeton, but not master’s.

P.S. Could you include the link to this article? I couldn’t find it on NYT.

Oops, I remembered incorrectly. The article was from ABC News:

[ABC News: Legacy #'s Strong, Admissions Down: Fair?](<a href=“Top Colleges Mum on Legacy Admissions - ABC News”>Top Colleges Mum on Legacy Admissions - ABC News)

Btw, where did you find out that fact about the distinction between receiving doctoral and masters degrees? It seems awfully arbitrary.
