<p>Hi, so my dad went to University of Chicago and organizes a big conference/event there every year and donates quite a bit of money. Will this help a little in admissions? Of course I am not completely relying on that. But I read that for Ivy League legacy is more important and doesn’t affect U of C as much.Thanks!</p>
<p>They list it as considered in their rank of admission factors supplied to the College Board / Princeton Review.</p>
<p>My perception from knowing a handful of legacies is that while alumni connection to the school is considered, the bonus is on the small side for schools, closer to, say, MIT than Princeton.</p>
