Hi I found a Legacy Park Foundation Scholarship listed in FastWeb, which has recently become very unreliable being piled with those fake scholarship websites. The application form was only sent after emailing LegacyParkFoundation@gmail.com.

Though there is a contact address on the form, there is no phone number.

Though there is no application fee, it does require me of my SSN

I am applying for the scholarship and yes there is a website
it is as follows:
www.legacyparkfoundation.org

this website is now inclueded in the fastweb profile aswell

i thought i found the same thing and i googled in and found this discussion.

what you found, is DEFINITELY a scam. legitimate scholarships most likely would NOT have an email address with gmail. the scholarship i found does not require your social security number.

i found the legacyparkfoundation.org one. it seems legitimate, i’m doing it. good luck! :)

ay yo ya suckers got played there is no such thing as legacy park foundation scholarship i made it up and posted it up on fastweb and then created an email for it you stupid bums live life and stop falling for scams hahahaha

The Legacy Park Scholarship is a legitimate scholarship application. The application can be downloaded by visiting www.legacyparkfoundation.org

This is the first year of our website. In years past, you received the scholarship via email, but the legacyparkfoundation@gmail.com email as such has never existed.

There is no contact phone number as we have a very small (but talented!) staff that has to handle the burden of paperwork. In years past where we have given our phone number, we’ve had to hire extra help which takes away from the amount of money we can give to our winners.

Regarding the Social Security Numbers: Many people have emailed us about this with concerns about identity theft. We’re planning on removing this in future years, but since the scholarship deadline is almost near, if you feel uncomfortable filling it in, leave it blank, and we’ll contact you if you’re a finalist. We use this number for IRS purposes. We’re currently working on a better system for next year.

Any other comments/concerns regarding the Legacy Park Foundation Scholarship can be directed towards scholarships@legacyparkfoundation.org
