Hi,

I know the basic rules/guidelines for legacy admissions, but I think I have a special situation and I’m curious to hear if you guys think this will change my admission chances at all. My sister, father, grandfather and great grandfather went there; in addition, my great grandfather held a very high administrative position in the university and there are one or two buildings with his name on them (my last name as well). My father was also involved in the creation of a certain academic program back in the 1960’s.

What do you guys think? Will this help my chances? Also this is for graduate admissions.

Thanks!
