How much does knowing staff members of an ivy league’s admission board boost your chances?
Hopefully not much, but nobody can say for sure.
Knowing staff members does not make you legacy.
Depends on how influential the person is in the admissions process and if they are willing to do that kind of thing for you.
I highly doubt it but anything could happen.
The harder the school it is to get into the less it will help. At the elites, it typically won’t help at all.
Certainly it doesn’t make you a legacy. If they do their job responsibly, it should not give you much (if any) of a boost but who knows what goes on behind those closed doors.
