I have black leggings, that’s for certain. I have a black long sleeve t shirt, I also have a black sweater or black lulu cardigan. I think any of those would work, right?
I am more confused about what shoes to wear. I have Nike frees but am thinking no on those because of the cold. I have a pair of moto boots and a pair of riding boots. I also have a slight wedge bootie. I will be walking quite a bit so need comfortable shoes.
Brrrr! You’re made from better stock than I am. LOL
I vote for the heaviest black slacks you own, socks, maybe boots, a turtleneck and wool sweater.
Sorry. I couldn’t resist. I’m always cold.
I have almost that same outfit on today at work. I have Expresso Nuu-Muu on with a cream colored chunky mock turtleneck sweater over it, dark brown fleece leggings and Tom’s brown suede wedge ankle boots. I would have also worn my Frye brown boots. I wear the Nuu-Muus once or twice a week with leggings, blazers or pull over sweaters and boots or wedge ankle boots.
Thanks. Great advice as usual. Will go with Abasket’s choice.
I am running a bit warmer than I used to lol! But I think I’m used to the colder weather they have where I am. Today I went to the store in leggings and a fleece, no coat. Most people I observed were dressed similarly, it was sunny and 22. I guess we thought it was a heat wave lol!
Leggings paired with appropriate top and footwear are perfectly fine for casual outfits. The #1 rule of leggings wearing is “the bum shall be covered.”
There are good quality athletic wear leggings that truly can look fine - you don’t have to choose to wear them megatight. With an appropriate top and nothing revealing in other areas - you can just look sporty anf fit and NOT awful! Also leggings with a dress - even one above the knees are just heavy tights!
I like the idea of things going OVER the dress on top like the cardigan. The leggings will be cute. Pants are too bulky under a dress like that. I think you will be darling. No worries.
@CountingDown - take a dryer sheet and rub it around the top part of your leggings or athletic pants while they’re o you; you can even rub it on the inside of the tunic if you want. That should take care of the static.
