Legitimacy of Programs?

Some of you may remember my other posts about other service/teaching English abroad programs (Americorps, Peace Corps, etc.). Can anyone tell me if this (link below) is a legit program? How does one find out for sure that a program is legitimate? Is there some kind of background check that can be done? I’d hate to end up in a foreign country all alone and realize that I’ve been taken so to speak.

[Teach English in China, Russia and Indonesia | EF English First](http://www.englishfirst.com/trt/index.html)

It’s legit. There are many branches in Indonesia.

Hi Karen. Do you know how difficult it is to be accepted?

Just sent you a PM.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been in Indonesia, so details are fuzzy.
I think you have to take an exam. You will need a TOEFL certificate. In Indonesia, they were very happy to hire native English speakers.

I would suggest looking at expat websites for the cities you are interested in, there should be an employment page, and there are almost always advertisements for EF schools which would give you a specific person in country to contact.
