@dreampuddle did you think the classes were pretty difficult and a major adjustment from high school? I’m planing on majoring in chemical engineering so I was just curious, thank you!

In all honesty, I think my public highschool did a great job of preparing me for college. I took Calc 2, Physics, and English 11 last semester, and they all were about the same level of difficulty as my full year AP classes. They really were quite similar in course load and level of difficulty.

I don’t think freshman courses are any harder than highschool classes… It was a fairly easy transition. The biggest difference would be the speed at which topics are covered, and learning how to learn from homework assignments. Lectures seem to cover the ideas you need to solve problems, but the homeworks generally give examples and expose you to all the situations you’ll see on exams and 4 o’clocks.

@StitchInTime : Wow, thank you so much! This is exactly the avenue I want to explore for a career- it is so exciting that someone from Lehigh has actually done this and succeeded!

Thanks again! :)

PA

applying is all about people you know. i got in with these grades. i am not a legacy

SAT: 1990. 700 math, 650 writing, 640 english

SAT IIs: 630 math 2, 600 english

GPA: 91 accumulative

Rank: 16th percent of graduating class

Other stats: took only 2 aps, us hist and world history. did not take any math senior year

State or Country:nj

School Type:catholic school

Ethnicity:white

Gender:male

*Major: buisness

Other Factors: important my mom went to rutgers and now works on wallstreet. she has many connections in the business world. i received a recommendation from a man who went to lehigh and strongly believe this is the sole reason i got in.
General Comments:I am very excited to get in, which was against all odds. I got rejected from bucknell. I did ed 2. I think it is VERY important to get outside recommendations from lehigh allum. Hope this helps those looking to apply!

How did you guys know ?? RD ?? Why doesn’t anything show on my Portal?

Never mind !!

You are giving yourself way too little credit by saying that the recommendation is the sole reason why you got in. Your GPA is very good and SAT is slightly above average. It was probably more like a combination of all those things.

To everyone getting accepted, were any of you regular desicion or is everyone early desicion?

Just want to clarify that you do not need a “connection” to get into Lehigh, just strong GPA, test scores and meaningful EC’s. A demonstrated interest in Lehigh is also very important.
