Hi, I’m a incoming freshmen this fall for Lehigh and I have some financial aid questions. It says on my portal that I need to send in my IRS 1040 form with schedules and W-2s. However, I will not be filing an income tax because an accountant told me am paid not enough to fill one out. I put down the same thing for Fafsa as well. What must I send in to Lehigh now and do I still have to send in my W-2’s? Thank you so much!

In general, you should always contact the admissions office directly on issues like this and don’t depend on a forum for information that may or may not be accurate for your circumstances.

In addtion, an email thread with them will also serve as a record that can be referred to in the future if some issues arise as well…a lot often gets lost in translation with phone conversations on important financial aid matters.

When are RD going to hear back?

Looking at last year’s thread, the decision for RD were posted on the portal on March 24.

Good luck!

As StichIinTime recommends, you should contact Lehigh’s admissions office. However, they will most likely advise you to complete the Student Non-Filer’s Statement form, which is provided on their website (link below).

Since the deadline for this was Feburay 15, contact admissions right away if you have not already done so.

I just got my letter of acceptance in the mail even though it was sent out to me on March 9th. Odd.

HA that was me on facebook…wait you already got a letter? damn, that was fast.

@iamzewalrus, was your letter for general admission or was it for diversity day?

accepted through diversity life weekend as biology major! =]

I live in Turkey and just received an email saying Lehigh is sending me something via Fedex International Priority that is expected to arrive on March 28. That goes along with what Elliemac6 said…

I think Lehigh has a portal and applicants can check status on it. Does anyone know the date which the decision is available online so we don’t need to wait for mail.

@TurkishSoprano I got an email from Fedex telling me the same thing (to South America). Does this mean we’ve been accepted? The package weighs 1 pound… I hope it’s good news! I have a friend who applied to Lehigh and hasn’t received this email yet though…

Posted last year exactly a year ago today…good luck to all…

@iloveemomuffins I just checked and it says mine weighs 1 pound, too. But I think that’s standard for 0-1 lbs. The portal still says ‘‘sometime in March’’. I think I will be accepted due to grades and test scores, plus I am fourth generation. But I still want to know!! Good luck to you.

Looks like it will be a bit later this year. From the sounds of it we can expect to all have to wait til next Wednesday, 3/28.

Does anyone know whether financial aid comes with the letter ,or is it mailed seperate?

Decisions are up on the portal everyone!
