Anyone else know anything about the Eckardt scholar program? We had never heard of it until she got an offer, and can’t find much information about it.

My S25 got in with $15K/year in merit but turned Lehigh down because he got in early elsewhere. It was disappointing to see the small amount he received in additional need-based money, being a proud Lehigh alum myself. I’m hearing from others as well that Lafayette and other comparable schools are offering much more. They are losing out on some talented students but since it was such a big pool of applicants this year, I guess it doesn’t bother them. Oh well.

I totally get it. I hope that everyone can find a way to make it affordable to go there. It’s disappointing that they give so little (to none) in general. Very different from when I went there!
Admitted engineering! Applied RD and TO. A tippy top match to a reach school for my DS, so a happy surprise. Very generous financial package. 4+1 program offered.
My daughter was accepted into that as well, and it sounds really cool. There is a little bit about it on the Lehigh website but not that much information. I would love more info about the ES seminars.
Has anyone received information about the open houses this weekend? We’re registered for the engineering open house on Saturday and haven’t received anything yet.
