Lehigh Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

Thank you - were there separate parent and student sessions, or were parents and students together for the admitted student day?

Could she also do the first semester in the American west? We talked to a couple of students about it and it sounded so cool. It’s not like some other programs where there’s an extra expense (other than airfare) and it’s not like they attend another university in partnership with Lehigh - Lehigh faculty actually travels with them.

They were combined sessions with parents and students, but the current students were really interactive and talked directly to my son a lot, offering to show him labs and giving really helpful responses to all his questions.

Interesting! Not offered that option, no.

Where is he going instead? I luckily got a lot of merit from Lehigh (only would have to pay $12k) and I got a full ride from Lafayette. So yeah, I have also heard that Lehigh is giving a lot less money this cycle. Also, I was the only kid from my school that got accepted RD from Lehigh this year (they typically take about 10 kids a year from my school) so it’s still a huge deal he got in! Congrats!

Accepted RD, Trustee Scholarship (Half tuition), 4+1 Accelerated Masters Program
4.25 GPA, Test Optional, 10 APs (didn’t send any scores), I never got contacted for an interview but I did do a campus visit.

Congrats on your acceptance and full ride to Lafayette! That’s a huge deal. My son is going to Cornell - it was his dream school and they were very generous with aid so it was a no brainer. Not like Lehigh!
