Lehigh SAT Writing

Is anyone familiar with lehighs policy on giving credit based on getting over a 700 on the sat writing section? Anyone ever taken advantage of this?

Hello,

Unfortunately, Lehigh doesn’t take into account the writing section on the SAT writing section. However if you take the SAT II Subject Test in Writing and score 750 or over, you can complete the First-Year Writing requirement. If you get a 700-749 on the SAT II test, you can receive credit for English 1.

Hope this was helpful. Best of luck.

Does it have to be on the subjects test or can it be on the actual SAT writing section?

If you get a 700 or above you can skip the general writing course

I learned this on the tour

If you score between 700-740 on the SAT writing section you test out of and get credit for English one and take a special section instead of English two (called English 11). If you get a 750 to 800 you get credit for both, and are not required to take any freshman English. What score did you get?

I scored an 800 on SAT writing and I earned credits for English 1 and English 2, which adds to 6 credits. If 700-749, you get English I. If 750-800, you get English I and English 2 credits.

Will Lehigh do something similar to this with the new SAT?
