anybody have any insight into these 2 universities? My son will be doing army ROTC (4 year scholarship). Finance major. Serious about academics and hopes to be able to go to grad school for a Master’s.

One consideration is that Wake does not do direct-entry into the business school. You apply as a sophomore.

DS has a fraternity brother who is both a cadet and in the business school at Wake Forest. A finance major at either school combined with military service would land him a spot in a top seven MBA program after his service ends.

We just got a little bit more info today regarding Lehigh. In addition to his National ROTC scholarship - they are offering 4 years of free room and board. So basically he is going to school for free if he chooses Lehigh.
Wake Forest has not offered any additional aid. I am wondering if they would offer anything to compete with Lehigh if we presented their offer to them? Or would they tell us to pound sand? lol

Can’t hurt to try, but Wake generally doesn’t give much merit aid besides their handful of named scholarships.
My son was a finance major at Lehigh. He’s still there now completing a fifth year master’s. He’s had a great experience both academically and socially. He loves Lehigh so much he may end up staying in the area after graduation.

Oh wow! I didn’t even know they had a 5 year master’s in finance.
His master’s will be in Technical Entrepreneurship, not finance. It’s part of the engineering school, but this program does not require the undergrad degree to be in engineering. He’s loving it!
