I went to an outdoors concert type thing at lehigh university this past weekend and all i can say is MAN THEY HAVE A LOT OF HILLS! We parked at the parking garage at the bottom of campus, and had to walk to savre field up a bunch of hills at the other side (i think) of campus. i had blisters by the time we got there!

When we toured Lehigh, the tour guide told us they call it the “Lehigh butt”, which is what you get after walking to and from class/dorms etc. In other words, you are in GOOD shape. They are pretty hills, too ;).

I went there for undergrad.

fendergirl let me get this straight: did you say you parked at the bottom of the main campus, then WALKED up over the mountain to Sayre fields on the other side, where the football stadium and Stabler Arena are located?!?

I always thought Lehigh had the worst hill… until we toured Holy Cross.

Both schools are built on the side of a hill, but Holy Cross’s is even steeper.

yes, we parked at the bottom of the main campus, then walked up over the mountain to sayre fields… and we just walked along the road because we had no clue if there was a different way to get there. i think we were walking for over an hour.

We were driving up at the mountain and asked some girls where parking is, and they sent us down to the bottom at the parking garage.

i think whoever goes there will probably be in the best shape of their life when they graduate.

omg you should have parked over at sayre fields. The fields are VERY far from campus…part of Lehigh but meant to be driven to from the main campus. I think you walked a few miles.

I hope you at least enjoyed the concert!!

There is something to be said for this whole “hill” thing. The best shape I’ve ever been in was during my Junior year when I studied abroad. The campus was absolutely straight downhill from the dormitories. And the dormitories were absolutely straight downhill from shopping, pubs, clubs, curry houses, etc. In addition it seemed like I was always walking into near gale force winds.

I didn’t “work out” the entire year, but I lost 20 lbs and I felt fantastic by August.

My husband and I were married when he went back to college at West Virginia University. There are a couple of roads around Lehigh that remind me of WVU. What I want to know is what band did you see??

I figured there had to be closer parking… i’m sure we walked a few miles… but we asked these girls and that’s where they sent us… a little over an hour later, we were there.

We saw Hellogoodbye. By the time we got there we missed all of the opening bands and the first five or ten minutes of them, but it was good… and it was free and outside on a beautiful day, so aside from my blisters on my feet it was great. They’re not really a band i follow or am into, but I’ve heard a few of their songs and we figured since it was free we’d check it out.
