Even though you have some excellent ECs and grades, nothing shows that your passion is in engineering. If you’re rejected, i think this will be the reason.

I don’t think you’ll get rejected. That said, IF you do get rejected, I agree with Maxyboy1993; There is no clear indication for passion in engineering, and might seem as though you were going for the higher acceptance rate. In one sense, your ECs are impressive, but in another sense, they’re a bit typical for an Asian(?) applicant.

^
haha, nice guess here. yes, i am from china.

anyways, ya i think Maxyboy1993 has a good point. the only place i think i’ve shown my passion toward engineering is the supplement (which i talked about my dream and how penn can help me achieve it) and the teacher’s rec (from my phys teacher, amazing)

any other new ideas?

bump 10char

You’ll be fine; they realize your 17/18 and you may not have known what you wanted to do for 700 light years. Plenty of people get in without engineering ECs. Don’t worry.

Small correction: Light year is a measure of distance, not time, haha.

**EMBARRASSING.

I admittedly know nothing about light years; my only knowledge of them comes from Toy Story.

It’s pretty apparent. Take my words with a grain of salt, OP.

LOL u guys are so funny! thx for the encouragement :)

well, im international, so those people who had no passion toward enginnering got accepted because they were from the states, but for a canadian like me, less chance

bump 10char

bump 10char

bump 10char

You’re fine. Stop bumping.

^
thx much for the encouragement, i really appreciated that!

Your ECs are lightyears beyond mine ^^ They look really really impressive. You definitely will be fine since you applied ED.

Yay, Lulu <3! Normally I don’t do chance me threads but when Lelouch commands, I can’t refuse! :3

Besides, I hear Engineering is the easiest school to get into?

ya tz true, almost 40% acceptance rate for early

That’s from several years ago though…^^

ya this year the acceptance rate is probably around 26%

^ The admit rate for the engineering school alone will be higher than that for sure.
