Less selective schools with good medical research and clinical opportunties?

Please feel free to suggest some safety schools for me (Asian male, NY resident, 14 APs 9-12, 103 GPA, 35 ACT, decent ECs) that can offer good opportunities in medical research and clinical experience, preferably mid-sized and in the northeast

Right now I have SUNY Stony Brook and Binghamton, as well as U of Rochester

Any specific speacilties you are interested in. Take a look at the programs offered at Misericordia, St John’s, Thomas Jefferson and Temple there are lots of options there that might provide you with the more hands on Clinical Experience you are looking for

Not sure if you implied this, but Rochester is a match for you, not a safety! Have you looked at Buffalo?

Also Pitt, UVM, Suny albany.

Are finances ok with any school without putting your parents in a hard spot? Or are you looking for merit or need based aid?

Solely based upon the medical desires and their rolling admissions to where you’d know you were accepted, Pitt would make a great safety. You might also get merit aid, but that’s not a guarantee nor are the best awards given out early. Students who like Rochester often like Pitt (and Case Western in Ohio).

hi, I won’tqualify for need-based aid but am looking for some merit aid. Also I have case western EA on my list (definitely not as a safety though), and thanks for suggesting Pitt! I will look further into their programs.

Not the NE, so you may not be interested but VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) and ECU (East Carolina University) would be safeties for you. VCU will give you $$.
