Had a conversation with Texas Tech financial aid advisers regarding maintaining a 3.5 GPA for some scholarships.

They said… “We review Presidential Recipients at the end of each semester. The first time the student does not meet the requirements they are placed on probation. While on probation the student must meet the GPA and hours for that specific term. IF the requirements are met while on probation, the student either stays on continued probation for their overall GPA and/or hours not meeting, or are taken off of probation completely. IF the requirements are not met while on probation, the student is canceled from the scholarship all together.”

Although this scholarship is generous, these requirements MUST be taken into consideration and carefully considered before accepting and committing to 4 years.
