WWYD?
Picture yourself having a lovely, lazy lunch at a reasonably expensive. up-market beach restaurant. The venue requires mask to be worn at all times, except when dining. When you arrive, a maskless woman is sitting alone, downing a drink, she finishes that drink and orders another, then takes a phone call during which there re times she gets loud and cussing (not angrily) - THEN - she sneezes! THEN she coughs! THEN she cusses and goes back to her conversation. Over the next hour, still maskless because she is drinking, she sneezes and coughs into her HAND, no fewer than eight times. WWYD?
Obviously, the place is not enforcing its rules, so if you just arrived to find that scene, just leave if you are concerned about catching COVID-19 or anything else from that other customer (inform the host or waiter why you are leaving).
I would have requested a new table or left. Had my food delivered curbside and let the management know that however much I sympathized with them, I would t be back until things were different.
I wouldn’t be hanging around long enough to be there for an hour. I’d take my food to go and skedaddle.
I’d talk to the manager. They should be taking this very seriously because the health department could shut them down over not enforcing the rules.
Was this a real situation or hypothetical??
Off topic but I used to enjoy that show when it was first on - What Would You Do? There were times it seemed they crossed the line of pushing a situation but if it was indeed non-staged responses it was interesting to see.
