let's pracic grammar!

same idea as the vocab one. post one sentence with a grammar error (hopefully from an SAT prep book) and have the correction below. i’ll start first:

Global warming would increase more gradual if solar energy sources were more fully exploited.

(a space here to cover up the answer)

…more gradually if…

an adverb is needed to modify “increase”

How about instead we “pracic” our spelling. Kidding.

After my monthly hooking up with Breanna, I prevented one of my girlfriends, Hannah, from realizing that I was going third base with Alexis on a weekly basis by telling her that I was obligated to attend church outings every Friday evening.

“her” is a vague pronoun reference that can refer to any of my several girlfriends.

^“by telling her” is ambiguous; it could describe the action of preventing or the hypothetical situation of Hannah’s realization.

^ thanks

Thirty-nine cents are needed to enter the theme park unless one successfully seduces the staff member Breanna, in which case admission is free.

Amounts of money/time/distance/weight are always singular; should be “Thirty-nine cents is”.
