Let's Twitter......short, daily thoughts

Starting this so we have a place just to make random observations, thoughts, etc. that aren’t of the type of the “say it here” thread and conversation/remarks allowed, but not to digress into big, long ones or to derail this one. Start a thread for those.

I’ll start.

In 1974, I had a couple of home sewn dresses almost identical to this pattern. So cute! I love Mod Cloth. They have the prettiest dresses.

I got these amazing oranges from trader joes. They have a bump on one side. I think they are called minolo oranges.
They were seedless. plump, and juicy. Sweeter than a tangerine and very easy to peel. I was told that the season for them is very short.
I got two today and plan to get a whole bag of them tomorrow. They are my new favorite type of orange.

My grandbaby is a boy!! I can hardly wait to meet him. It’s getting real now. September, come on!

I think we should limit to 140 characters.

I am making “me” time and driving to visit a dear friend that I haven’t seen in almost a year. She is about to be tied up helping to care for twin grandbabies that are due next week.

Oh how I hate cold, raw days when I expect it to be warming up…cmon spring, hurry up and stay…

I think we should limit to 140 characters. >>>>>

Ha,ha. Not sure that’s doable some days!

It’s 85 degrees over here. Waiting for sunset so that it will cool down.

@VaBluebird - oh my! I used that same pattern to make the cutest dress in 1974. Showed up at the first day of Organic Chemistry looking my best ever, just in time to see my ex boyfriend staring. thanks for the blast from the past.

Mother’s day is coming soon. I want the weather to be pleasant and have a relaxing day.

I let my anxiety get the best of me today and thought my heart would burst out of my chest on the drive home from work. So, I went for a 30-minute swim and frolicked like a mermaid.

@raclut - those are tangelos. They do have a short season but it’s usually the month of January! I wonder where TJ’s is getting them from.

Enjoy them! My kids like to eat them over the sink since they are so gloriously juicy.

@greenwitch I purchased a whole bag today for $3 (8 or 9 of them) It says minneolas. Someone at the store told me to try cara cara oranges. Haven’t had those yet. That is all that I wanted to have for dinner since it was so hot. I had no appetite because it was so hot.

Yes, Minneola tangelos, also known as Honeybell tangelos. I haven’t tried cara cara oranges yet but they sound good. If you ever see satsumas, get them! They are a type of tangerine. Short season too, usually just mid November to early January.

Thanks @greenwitch . I try to have a variety of fruits but have had a taste for oranges these days.
I think the bag said they are from California.

Trying to plan S2’s grad night dinner. Says he wants to eat at the local malt shop. That can work, but I will have to wait a bit for the fudge scotchie malt to settle before my glass or two of celebratory wine.

Congratulations Kajon.

We will most likely meet DS’s GF for 2 years for the first time, in a little over a month (I think.) We are looking forward to it but we are kind of “nervous” (I would guess so is she.) Not sure what to talk about when we meet her.

Try not to talk about online banking.

I thought it would be interesting to start keeping a journal, something like “Haiku of the Day,” that would not be too time consuming.

All the tech layoff notices are starting to bother me.
