Letter from Columbia

I have applied to Columbia University and I have applied for Financial Aid. I received an email from Columbia telling me that they have recieved my financial documents and that I have a few things missing like my house deed and stuff. I was just curious, is this a likely letter?..I mean is this standard procedure or is it that they are thinking of giving me admission and now wondering how much aid they should give me. I am from a low income group and presently in India. So I dont know? should i be optimistic?..

No it is not a likely letter.

many schools have to pick random applications for audit purposes. No one will be able to tell you unequivocally if you will be accepted. Just turn in what the school is asking for when they ask for it. If you get a big envelope, just be pleasantly surprised,
