Letter of recommendation for UCLA

I previously submitted my application for UCLA, and I also sent a letter of recommendation. However, after I submitted my application, it said that if the school doesnt ask for them, not to send them. UCLA does want, so does this means that they’ll probably disregard my application? It’s like my dream school and I’m afraid I screwed my chances of getting in.

so your theory is, because you sent a material that they did not ask for, that your application will get… “disregarded”??

Yes, I know they get a lot of submissions so maybe it’ll just make them angry

The admissions office will most likely ignore the letter and look only at your application. Usually when colleges get unsolicited supplementary materials, they’ll just throw them out (I’m making this inference based off what I’ve seen on other schools’ websites). Of course, if you’re really really REALLY worried, you could contact admissions and ask them about it.

I don’t think so, maybe why they should be angry? I think they just ignore your letter and only focus on your application.
