Letter of Recommendation from a Humanities/Social Sciences Teacher

Hi, I have submitted my application to HMC on the 1/1/2015, and I received the confirmation email (that my application has been received). The thing is, when I logged in, I noticed that the recommendation letter from my HASS teacher has not been received, even though she has already sent it to Common App a few weeks ago. The rest of my recommendation letters and school transcripts are fine. The teacher I have chosen is an English teacher. Does Harvey Mudd not accept recommendations from English teachers under the HASS requirements?

Would be grateful for someone to help me on this.

I am not sure what the HAAS requirements are, but for sure they accepted a recommendation from my son’s English teacher when he applied. Humanities are important at Mudd. I would double check to see if there has been a glitch.

They definitely will accept an English teacher recommendation. I know when my kid had letters uploaded a couple of years ago, there was a glitch with the upload to the Common App. Ask your school’s GC to check on their side if it appears to have been uploaded properly for Mudd.
