<p>How much weight does a letter of recommendation from an alum have for a school like Sarah Lawrence. My favorite teacher convinced me to apply (I didn’t think I had a shot) and said she wrote an awesome letter of recommendation specifically for the SL journalism curriculum. I don’t know if this makes a difference, but she’s been my teacher for loads of classes (US History one year, Government, International Politics and Women in History this year)
Note: I’m not asking what my actual chances are of getting in since at this stage I’m way too anxious and sensitive to hear a “You won’t get in b/c of your grades”. I just want to know how much weight said letter has when they review my app. thanks.</p>
