letter to interviewer

does it have to be very formal?.. I have no idea… this is the first time I have to arrange an interview…

Wouldn’t you phone or email instead?

and why would you have to contact an interviewer yourself by letter?

He must contact his interviewer because that’s how it is for international applicants. I suppose he means email.

It doesn’t have to be very formal; just be kind and use real English, not “cuz” or “plz” (I’m being obvious). The subject must be “Harvard Interview Request” and you must give your phone number.

Call or email the interviewer. That will be allow the interview to be scheduled more quickly. If you e-mail, make sure you have “Harvard interview request” in the subject header, and that you write in English (since at Harvard, that’s what you’ll have to communicate in), and provide your name, e-mail and phone number. Address the person formally: Dear Mr. or Ms. All you have to do is have one or two lines saying that you’ve applied to Harvard, and would like to interview with the alum. The sooner you do this, the better, as usually relatively few alum abroad are available to do this, and they are busy people who may not have time to interview all applicants who request an interview.

yeah I am from Peru…
thanks guys!

and I’m a girl, not a boy… I don’t know why everyone is refering to “he” instead of “she” when posting… anyways…

Oh I’m sorry. I was pretty sure you were a boy; I don’t know why, hehe. Another South American applicant here, and my interviewer told me an Argentine got into Harvard EA. Good luck to you!

hey kyo7… are u from south america too?!.. u sound familiar to me…I guess I have read many of ur posts…
