Letter to Prevent Rescinding

Hey all,

If I were to send a letter to explain a drop in grades, where would I send/email it?

Talk to your GC. Are you certain that the drop is significant enough that you have anything to worry about? Can someone call Cornell anonymously and find out whether they consider a drop of however much you dropped to be a concern?

If you write a letter, do you have a good reason for why your grades dropped. Illness would be understandable, unless the illness was just Senioritis, in which case, what are you trying to accomplish in your letter.

I have two Ds (well, 65s). And thanks, I forgot to contact my GC! Just so nervous. ):

My reasons are economic. I didn’t have a home for some time. In the end, I just really want to show Cornell that I am ready for them, despite the drop.

just don’t worry - I don’t think anyone has ever heard of cornel rescinding anybody - as long as you get your diploma.

Really?! I would think it would be easier to get rescinded from Cornell than other schools just because it’s competitive.

I don’t think anyone ever heard of someone getting rescinded from cornell
don’t worry about something that has probably never happened before

unless the person does not graduate - even then, cornell would probably extend the admission offer for a year.
just chill out.
P.S. what are you going to be studying at cornell?

I’ve been accepted to the ILR school. :)

good luck - ILR is an excellent college at Cornell.
as long as you get your high school diploma, I can’t believe they would rescind you
