Letters of intent?

I have heard that a well written letter designating Brown as your number one can help admission, anyone have experience with these? My brother was able to change a differed to accepted at Notre Dame with one, but I’m not sure how Brown views them. I was thinking about sending it with an update of a few more awards I received
So basically, anyone else write one? Know if it matters or sounds too suck up? Thanks!

Where would we send it, even? I (surprisingly) just got awarded valedictorian so I would actually probably write a letter of intent to them (and slip in that little tidbit).

Or do you only do this if you were deferred?

This is ONLY for those deferred.

Ohhhh ok, sounds good.

Are you sure? Do you have a link somewhere saying this? I’d like to do anything I can to help me get in, as Brown is my number 1

Yea, I’m pretty positive.
The purpose of the letter IF some write them is to say that you still have interest in Brown. If you applied RD…obviously you still have interest in Brown or you wouldn’t have applied, so the letter isn’t neccessary.

If you were deferred, Brown wants to know that you still are interested in them from November…so SOME students write a letter- although some say you shouldn’t then too.

THat is just what I know about the letters. CHeck out the deferred threads they say it.

Does anyone know if Brown sends out letters of "

moon81: you’re talking about Likely Letters. All of the Ivies use them. Congrats on your DD’s prelim acceptance!
