I’m currently debating which teachers to ask for letters of recommendation. I go to a very large school, so there’s not much time to form a strong connection with any teachers; because of this, all teachers will write pretty similar quality letters.

My question is: Do colleges value a letter from an AP teacher over others, assuming the quality of letter will be the same for all teachers.

I ask this because many of the AP teachers get swamped by students asking at this time, I want to know if I could take the load off them by asking a teacher from a regular course without it hurting my application.
