Letters of Recommendation

I'm a little concerned about how to ensure getting an excellent letter of recommendation from each of my two professors for science/math and humanities. Being a Junior this year, and having some really good professors I know well this semester, could I just ask them to write me a letter when the semester ends? I don't really understand whether they have to input the letter online themselves during my Senior year or if I can have one made before the application process begins.

Anyone know?

I would wait until your senior year. Beginning next year, so back and visit them every once in a while. Keep them up to date on your activities. Show them you enjoy their company enough to visit heir class every now and then. I have never heard of a LOR for college being written for a junior.
