Letters of recommendations

If a college admissinos officer received one glowing letter of recommendation and another very lukewarm to even negative recommendation, would they give the applicant the benefit of the doubt or reject them alright? This is mainly in hypotheticals, but one of my LORs comes from a teacher I learned a lot from (and loved) but can be extremely honest and blunt in recommendations (I only found out after I asked him for the rec- at the same time though, I have never had any negative encounter with that teacher and always tried and worked hard in that class). I don’t think this will happen, but i was just wondering if in the low chance that would happen, is that an automatic rejection pile to every school?

No.

And don’t worry about hypotheticals. The teacher would decline your request for an LoR versus writing a negative review. Additionally, don’t conflate “honest and blunt” with “negative.”
