Wondering what the general practice is among CCers in terms of letting boarding schools know your son/daughter has chosen another school…do you tell them where he/she will be attending? I know that the schools want to know but is there any reason not to disclose that info? Thanks.
The schools that we declined had a space to state where were attending. You could leave it blank. I imagine knowing where the kids, that a school put itself out on a limb for --by accepting over everyone else, is pretty valuable information for a school to know. We did answer the question. Dont see any reason not to…
We answered, thanked them, and sent follow up thank you notes.
Thanks @Center and @ProudLoomisDad
I made the first call yesterday and felt a personal call was best to express my appreciation for the process. The admissions director was especially appreciative of the call. She was very gracious.
My experience has been that if you leave it out whether on purpose or not they follow up with the question anyway. They were very appreciative of the consideration, especially pre-April 10th.
I called personally and let the AO know. She really appreciated it.
