What do you guys think of this program?

[International Programs: Leuven, Belgium](<a href=“Study Abroad | Student Resources | Global Engagement | DePaul University, Chicago”>Study Abroad | Student Resources | Global Engagement | DePaul University, Chicago)

The internship sounds really tempting. Although, I’ve not once thought about traveling to Belgium. Program cost is around 4700, plus their tuition and airfare.
Should I be paying that much?

Any input would be highly appreciated.

I have little input but I know Belgium fairly well, and am familiar with some of the universities. I can tell you that Belgium is a lovely country to visit: the people are friendly (though sometimes shy) and usually speak English well. Also, it is easy to travel to other places on the European continent: Amsterdam and Paris are both just a few hours away.

Universities in Belgium are pretty demanding (secondary education in Belgium is definitely more advanced than US high schools), and the relationship between prof and student is quite formal. Students should not argue much and most of the time you will just be expected to sit back and listen to what the lecturer has to say.

Leuven is very much a student city and there will definitely be lots to do. However, I think Brussels, Antwerpen and Brugge are much more attractive to tourists.

Hope this helps.
