Level 5 Math questions, number 1 is the hardest

Its the first one 35?

No, the answer is 140

The first question is so poorly worded I won’t even attempt a solve.

2.) The answer is C. Sqrt of 5*2. Solve it by first finding the area of the square, 100. 1/5 of that is the area of the triangle. Triangle area is 20. Area = 1/2 Base * Height. The base and height are distances so plug in the distance formula for them.

Area=1/2sqrt((10-10+2a)^2)sqrt((0-a)^2)

Solving for a gets you plus or minus 4.47 which is also known as the sqrt of 5*2.

What book were these questions out of?

B. This one is simple enough.

That’s all for me folks.

For 2 I think it’s C.

3 is E.
4 is B.
5 is 4.

@SheepGetKilled I don’t think it’s poorly worded, I just think it’s one of those questions that need logical reasoning, this is how far i went but i couldn’t proceed

X= number of workers

5x+15 and 7(x-5) I don’t know what to do next

@Syndekit You got them all right but, can you tell me how you solved the one with the temperature?

@SimplyBMW first one, I searched in google hardest level sat math questions. the others are from the online course.

The answers are

 1. 140
 2. C
 3. E
 4. B
 5. 4

These ■■■■■■■■ problems wont show up on the SAT.

Number 1 was written by a 2 year old

How is the first one not 35?
5*7=35. And none are left over.
Is there explanation anywhere.

@Shaggy007 he said the answer is 140, I think this is how you solve it

5x+15 = 7(x-5)

5x+15 = 7x-35

15+35 = 2x
50 = 2x x= 25

If you substitute x in any of the two equations, you get 140

^No that’s wrong because the problem is wrong. I searched it up, and the correct question is supposed to be:

A small company has some free movie tickets to distribute to its employees. If each employee gets 5 tickets, there will be 15 left over. “If 5 employees decide not to take any tickets, all the other employees will receive 7 tickets, and none will be left over.”
How many tickets does the company have?
The part in quotations was incorrectly stated in the OP.
