Level of university, how am i doing?

I would like to know, based on my current merits, what level of a university I should look for. I understand that everything can change Junior year, but here is where I am right now:

Sophomore, Public High School - fairly good, high performing, but small and very poor course selection

Freshmen Year Courses and Grades (S1/S2): [I’ll only mention core courses, but I had several small electives also]

PSAT (soph) 209- CR62, M67, W80 [I’ll be working hard to bring this up for NMS next year.]
GPA:3.93 UW
Rank: 1 or 2?/130

Advanced English 9 - 97/97
Advanced Algebra II - 96/93
Advanced Earth Science - 96/99
Advanced Social Studies - 96/97
French I - 99/100

Sophomore Year Courses and Grades (S1 Predicted):
Advanced Geometry - 99
Advanced Biology - 96
Advanced World History - 95
Advanced English 10 - 95
French II - 100
Spanish I - 100

Junior Year Courses (Predicted):
Advanced Pre-Calc
Advanced Chem
Advanced English 11
APUSH
French III
Spanish II
Advanced Biology II

Senior Year Courses (Predicted):
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics B
AP English Lit
AP Psychology
Civics
French IV
Spanish III

This is the most difficult courseload offered at my school.

EC’s:
-Class President 9
-Class Secretary 10
-Class Council 9,10
-Volunteering at an special needs preschool
-Volunteering at a food pantry
-Academic Decathlon
-Cross Country 10
-Track 10
-Math Team

I feel like I’m a pretty average student, nothing “wow”. To what level university do you think I could be accepted? Examples?

Thank you so much!

You’re at the point where you would have a shot pretty much anywhere. Hence, see how junior year shakes up and worry about things then.

I don’t have the stellar grades, scores or EC’s I see that many others, who doubt admission at many universities, have. Is there anything I could do to make major improvements?

If there is no major shakeup junior year, where do I stand as far as chances for admission at different leveled universities?

You are far from being an “average” student. The average student scores in the low 100’s on the PSAT as a sophomore.

PSAT (soph) 209- CR62, M67, W80 [I’ll be working hard to bring this up for NMS next year.]

Sign up to take the SAT this June. Order the extra score report (about $12). Then after you take the test, you’ll get the test book sent to you with an answer key indicating the right answers and your incorrect answers. Then, over the summer, use that info to improve your PSAT for junior year. :)

You’re on track for many, many schools. Reaches, matches, and safeties. :)

At some point, you’ll need to talk to your parents about how much they can afford to spend on your education. That can make a big difference for where you’ll go to school.

Thanks so much for your input! I appreciate it!

I do feel like my EC’s are “laundry-list” extracurriculars. In no way do I “stand out” from the crowd for admission to upper-end schools. Statistically, I’m fine I think, but my extracurriculars are weak?

Is this an accurate assessment?

Any other opinions or ideas?
