So I have an award that I won on the states/regional level, but this award qualified me for the national level for the event. On my Common App I put both state and national even though I didn’t actually win anything on the national level. I already submitted my application so should I send an email to the college I applied to and explain myself, or should I just leave it?
I suggest fixing it for your remaining colleges so you’re not misrepresenting yourself. For the school you’ve already applied to, if it’s not very selective (which typically means it admits primarily based on stats), then leave it as is. However, if it’s a highly selective school, you might want to write to the AO.
