LG washer/dryer...Do I cut the cord?....

Moving soon and I love our LG Washer and Dryer but they are 7 years old. Thinking better to sell and reinvest in a new set VS chance the move with transit bolts and less than carfeful movers…any thoughts from those who have bravely gone before?..

I’d leave them where they are.

Me too. In my neck of the woods, any house sale generally includes the existing W&D anyway.

We moved a top-loader + electric dryer many years ago and it worked fine. But today I’d probably just leave them in place unless the homebuyer specified otherwise.

7 years old? You likely have no more that 3 years or so left of life in them. Leave them. Invest in a better pair.

We moved our Miele to the new place and took the LGs we “inherited” with the house back to House1. They were so lightweight compared to the Miele that was a two man job to move. Mr. B agreed that it was a good idea to do the swap.

Agree with leaving the older set and getting new ones. I understand loving your LG set- replaced inherited appliances with LG a few years ago. Splurged on raising them- so much easier than bending as much with old house set. Not getting any younger. Considering overall costs of moving in general and those of heavy appliances it makes financial sense to start new. Do your research and decide if keeping the known liked brand is worth it or others worth any extra cost.
