LHP joco pitcher

So I am playing for my local community college. I didn’t play high school ball because I pursued another sport. Long story short I tried out for my joco team and made it. I’m 6ft. and left handed. I throw around the mid 70s. What are the chances that if I do well that I could play NCAA baseball.

The various NCAA levels typically have veloctiy thresholds for LHP and RHPs. There are always exceptions. However, based on your current velocity your chances are not very good. You are just starting in the sport and there is much to learn, practice and develop. If this is something you want to dedicate yourself to you’ll need to find someone that is going to help you with mechanics, throwing program, and workouts. Anyone worth their salt is going to insist that you take time off from throwing (most college pitchers take off in the Fall & part of the Winter). Research the heck out of it in your area, and try to find someone to help you is the quickest way. Good luck.
