liberal arts degree in Michigan

Does anyone know of any stories regarding people who went to Michigan for a liberal arts degree like History regretted it and thought that it would have been better to not go to college?

I knew a guy who graduated with a degree in German (or German Literature, something like that) from UMich and should have regretted it since he ended up with a job (at the same place he worked though a lot of college) with a manager a year younger than him with no college degree.

That’s pretty close.

not michigan, but similar situation: a guy i knew from high school who went to uchicago to study philosophy graduated last year and now works at barnes and noble
