What should I major in if I were to, per say, go to a liberal arts college like Vassar or Colgate University?
So…you are 17, 18 or 19 years of age, you are considering a 4 year degree at Vassar or Colgate, and you are
questioning what course of study - given the dozens of majors, minors, amazing facilities/programs/study groups/internships/clubs/recreational opportunities etc afforded - sets you off on some path for MARKETING?!?!
May I suggest that you review the missions of these 2 liberal arts colleges and their core curricular requirements - as stated on their websites - and consider what your personal priorities are. Then, amd maybe after a couple of years
as an undergraduate wherever you matriculate, revisit your question.
Good luck with your college search!
@markham, I don’t understand your response. This is a perfectly valid question. Lots of students go from liberal arts colleges into marketing and business careers.
To answer the question, OP, there are a lot of things you can major in - psychology, sociology, anthropology, math, economics, even English or physics or philosophy. Marketing professionals come from a variety of backgrounds.
