What does the phrase liberal arts education mean? Small class sizes or something?

A liberal arts education is one that values learning for the sake of learning, rather than a professional education, which directly prepares someone for a particular career (pre-med, pre-law, education, etc). In general, liberal arts schools have smaller classes, broad distribution requirements that make you take classes in a variety of fields, and have more of the ‘personal touch.’

It means you learn everything!!!
