Any extreme republican or democrat seems dumber than a sack of jellybeans to me :p. I don’t see the point in being so close minded either way…

It’s not about a fight, it’s about the point of this thread. Point me to an intelligent, well-reasoned argument for social conservatism that is completely consistent with fiscal conservatism.

If you ask me, that’s why many liberals have a hard time envisioning the intelligent conservative-- there aren’t many public examples, and everyone connects Republicanism with conservative social policy, often before they even consider conservative economic policy.

The Republican Party should dump the social conservatism and go hardcore corporatist.

Honest to god BMW, are you that much of a stuck up elitist rich ■■■■■■■? And yes, my dad makes over 250 a year, but I don’t have the need to flaunt it in every post on this site. He is a democrat too, but that probably just because he has a soul, unlike you. Poor satan, he will have to come all that way to your Jersey Shore mansion looking for your soul only to leave emptyhanded :(

how did i miss this? yeah making sure that the poor get proper treatment is pretty abhorrent. it’s definitely deserving of the all caps scare text.

^ lololololololol

No matter are differences in political thought, I think we can all agree that BMW is an idiot (to say the least).

haha i didn’t know it was him. (i’m not the best thread reader sometimes) it’s not surprising that that quote was from the same dude braggin about the bmw his parents bought him

SO much HATE!

Genetics define intelligence, so political viewpoint isn’t based upon intelligence. People have different points of view, and they reach their conclusions in their own way.

HATE?

It’s just a good argument.
Lay off the liberal BS.

LOL, this is a great thread, basically just a open political debate with relatively no focus, but as to BMW 335; he is just upset because he couldn’t afford to get an M3.

BTW, my Ford Ranger owns all your guys’ cars. All of them. And that includes Beemer boy with his little European import from Daddy.

the majority of my town makes way over $250k a year. Most of those who do are democrats. My family is half socialist, half Democrat and my parents make over $250k a year. In fact, ironically, the majority of Republicans in my town have less money.

^ Why is how much money they make even considered a selling point? If anything, that just gives the impression that they’re a) out of touch with the rest of society and b) more eager to protect their own wealth, possibly at the cost of the nation’s welfare as a whole.

But that’s just the a first impression.

Anyway, judging people because of their political ideology is pointless imo. I have friends on all sides: liberal, conservative, libertarian, communist, etc. I just don’t enter many political debates with them because I know we’ll never agree on certain issues.

Although I have to say it sort of hurts when you realize one of your more respected friends supports Palin. :]

and I’ve never paid attention to a thread’s tags, but I have to say, this thread has got to have some of the most interesting.

^ Thank you :)

Democrats = Rich and poor people
Reublicans = Middle Class People

I think we have at least established that.

Urban poor –> Democrats
Rural poor –> Republicans

Urban rich ----->Democrats
Rural Rich ----->Republicans

I think we are seeing a pattern.

^^^ ooooohhh , put that middle name in there, that is real scary to you huh, that hussein must make him a socialist terrorist baby killer. what ignorance, disagreeing with ones political party or viewpoints is one thing, while I did not agree with mccain I still don’t go around questioning his citizenship or his religious affiliation.

Ok well you edited your post, so now mine doesnt make as much sense, but I love people who think that because his middle name is Hussein, it somehow means something negative about the man?

Oh and as far as the pattern, the only pattern that could be drawn from the conclusions you people have come to was that generally the more education one gets the more liberal they are, lol. ( I am not even a liberal, I am pretty middle of the road, I just think the arguments that liberal people make, are generally much more compassionate and logical than those of their enemies in red)
