Other new bldgs

Good!

I don’t see an award mentioned in either link.

Doesn’t look like an award, although the library looks beautiful.

Building do not make a top notch school- the physical surroundings merely enhance the academics et al. Still not impressed with the school.

If your kid were named Honorable Mention All American, is that an award in your book? The new Music Building and Student Center are also huge upgrades… The Music building puts UW’s facility to shame. SOA 1600 seat concert hall.
Steinways everywhere

No, because “honorable mention” is, [by definition](honorable mention - Google Search), not a prize.

All the Steinways in the world won’t make me respect Liberty U.

An award is not a prize now is it? Read for detail and comprehension.
That’s your problem.

Here’s a real problem:

[How Liberty University Creates Creationists: A course questionnaire for one of the evangelical school’s required science courses shows how the decked is stacked against the facts.](How Liberty University Creates Creationists)

First prize for medieval pedagogy!

If my kids were paid $100,000 a year to go to Liberty, they wouldn’t go there.

That has nothing to do with the library…

True, and no library in the world can make up for that kind of “education.”

@barrons is referring to a debate we had a couple of years ago when I toured 11 Virginia campuses and said that Liberty’s campus was a colossal disappointment. There’s plenty to say on the substance of Liberty, but despite the beautiful natural setting, the facilities were bush league IMHO. @barrons didn’t see it that way, and pointed to a lot of ongoing development. If there are great new buildings there, then that’s good news.

So carrying on a dead debate via a new thread. Gotcha. Wonder if there are any real science books in that library?

Yes, just like the other debate occurring in this very new thread.
