library or party?

Is it true that the busiest place at 1:00 am on a Saturday night is the library? That’s what one of the security guards said when I visited…

Maybe they party in the library. :stuck_out_tongue: I’d like to know too. Also, this may be an odd question, but how good is the library at JHU?

I am a freshman here and I would say that is definently NOT true.

The library is pretty decent. I haven’t really used it for the books, but for studying its quiet and there plenty of desks to work at.

apparently not during midterms. haha. my roommate came back and told me it was packed.

wait until finals if you think its bad now…

hopkins really isn’t a super nerdy school, people have social lives and are not cramming in the library at 1am (only the special students do that). the social life at hopkins exceeds nearly everyones expectations since most come thinking the premed stereotype reigns supreme here, when it fact nothing could be further from the truth (asides from those special people)

Ha Ha Ha - I love this post. Seriously though, during midterms and finals clearly the library and other study areas are going to be busy – it is Hopkins after all. But otherwise life at Hopkins is what you make of it - if someone wants to study on a Saturday at 1am they can do that but they will miss out on what life at JHU is all about.

I echo everything that spe07 wrote…

There have been a number of threads on life at JHU – read them – and avoid listening to security guards.
