<p>I’ve heard that living in the OC is nothing like the show.</p>
<p>my uncle is the mayor in irvine, and i’ll tell you, when i go visit him–definitely not like the oc. typical california, yes, but not liek that show.</p>
<p>my especially favorite line from that show was from the first season where they were like, Lets head out on the pch! … nobody straight up the coast calls it the pch…</p>
<p>i live near the coast and i call it the pch lol.</p>

<p>i live in san diego and i swear my school is the school on laguna beach but less pretty.</p>
<p>the people have the same fake approach to others…but i think that’s most of SoCal.</p>

<p>it’s nothing like the shows at all. sure there is superficiality, but no one is that rich or beautiful and some parts are pretty run down. it’s a lot more boring, and way more ugly</p>

<p>For the record… The OC you see on TV is not actually the OC… It’s Malibu, which is no where near Orange County… That being said, Malibu is a very nice area! :-)</p>
<p>deep within a bunker owned by FOX, a production exec has an epiphany:
“what if we made a show about what its like to be rich and really good looking and how much drama those rich good looking people go through on a daily basis…and we set it in a really beautiful place where everone else was rich and good looking.”</p>
<p>for the record, ive never seen either show, but i gather this much from the commercials while i watch seinfeld, an infinitely better show about and infinitely more interesting place</p>
<p>Yea I think the OC is ridiculous, the people portraying hs seniors are old enough to be playing college seniors!</p>
